In addition to profiling a document (adding document properties such as Status and Type), you can also tag documents in LegalWorks.
In LegalWorks you can create a number of tags, or custom labels, then apply one or more tags to any document within LegalWorks. This gives you the ability to create an additional dimension of organization and categorization for documents beyond the basic properties such as Document Type and Status.
Managing Document Tags
To create or manage tags, go to: Settings > Manage Document Tags.
You can create as many different tags as you like, each will be usable by the rest of your firm. Use tags to group and categorize documents beyond the Document Type property, to flag documents as urgent, personal or any other label you wish.
Applying Document Tags
To apply any tags you have created to a document in LegalWorks, click the properties box to the right of the document name.
Click Edit Item, then scroll down to Document Tags. Here you can add (or remove) any of the tags you’ve created to this document.
Once added, you’ll see tag’s you’ve applied to each document throughout LegalWorks. You can then click the Document Tags column in any LegalWorks view to filter or sort by that tag. For example: Within Advanced Search or within a single LegalWorks matter, you can filter to display only documents where you’ve applied the Urgent tag.
