Powerful Email Management
Save every important matter-related email. Drag and drop email messages to a matter right inside of Outlook. All emails for a matter will appear alongside that matter’s documents and other information. Email messages–and their attachments–are indexed and searchable within LegalWorks.
What’s more, LegalWorks elimiantes duplicates, ensuring that the same email is not saved to a matter more than once.
Microsoft Office Integration
Browse matters and save documents to LegalWorks right from Microsoft Office. Click ‘Save to LegalWorks’ in Office. Quickly find the matter you’re working on, drill down to the right subfolder and save the document–all without leaving Office.
If you can use Google you can search for and find documents in LegalWorks. LegalWorks search is simple to use and will search within every document and email in your LegalWorks database.
Create your own document tags, or custom labels. Apply one or more tags to any document, then search for or filter by your document tags anywhere in LegalWorks.
LegalWorks automatically OCR’s documents when you upload them. LegalWorks will convert scanned documents and image-based PDF to full-text, searchable PDF documents in the background, while you work.
Manage Document Versions
Each time you modify a document LegalWorks will create a new version. Review and compare previous versions. Enter comments for each version. See who changed what document, and when.
Document ID’s + Document Stamping
Every document in LegalWorks is given a unique ID, called a Document ID. This ID ensures you always know exactly what document you’re working with. What’s more, each document’s ID, version number and location (path) is stamped into the footer of Word documents, making this information visible within the document itself–even when printed.
Document Check-In / Check-Out
Check out a document to keep others from changing it–useful for documents that you’re in the process of drafting or documents you plan to work with offline for a period of time. Check it back in when you’re done with just a few clicks. Your coworkers can see who has a document checked out, and can open a read-only copy in the interim.
Scan & Fax Integration
Go paperless! LegalWorks can become your fax and scan inbox. Incoming scans and/or faxes will appear right in LegalWorks, where you can open, print or file it under the appropriate client or matter.
